Patriotic Cultural Evening Organised on the Eve of Independence Day by Ekagrata International Foundation & Creative Vision
LUCKNOW. On the eve of Independence Day, the Motimahal Lawns came alive with patriotic fervour as Ekagrata International Foundation and Creative Vision jointly organised a grand cultural evening titled “Ek Sham Watan Ke Naam.” The programme was presided over by Murlidhar Ahuja, President of the Jashn-e-Azadi Trust.
The evening was graced by Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak as Chief Guest, while Aparna Yadav, Vice Chairperson of the UP State Women’s Commission, and Dr. Gargi Tiwari, President of Swabhiman Manch, attended as Special Guests.
The ceremony began with Himanshu Pandey, National Coordinator of Ekagrata International Foundation, formally welcoming the Chief Guest, Special Guests, and other dignitaries with bouquets and mementos. In his welcome address, he remarked that Independence Day is not merely a date on the calendar, but an occasion to salute the immense sacrifice and dedication of the brave sons and daughters of Mother India.
Dignitaries Share Their Thoughts
Addressing the gathering as Chief Guest, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak said the occasion of Independence Day reminds the nation of the great martyrs who sacrificed everything for its freedom. He noted that events like “Ek Sham Watan Ke Naam” go beyond being cultural evenings, serving instead to instil national consciousness, patriotism, and social harmony among the youth, and commended the joint effort of Ekagrata International Foundation and Creative Vision in bringing the initiative to life.
Aparna Yadav, Vice Chairperson of the UP State Women’s Commission, spoke about how Independence Day reminds citizens of their duties towards the nation alongside their rights. She highlighted the invaluable contribution of women in India’s freedom struggle and nation-building, adding that in today’s empowering India, fostering self-reliance among women while upholding patriotic and social values remains the truest tribute to the nation’s freedom fighters.
In his presidential address, Murlidhar Ahuja said the core objective of celebrating Independence Day is to unite every section of society through the spirit of patriotism. Speaking at the gathering, he urged everyone present to resolve to work honestly in their respective fields and contribute meaningfully to the country’s progress and integrity.
Dr. Gargi Tiwari, President of Swabhiman Manch, observed that building a strong, capable, and self-reliant India requires not only securing the nation’s borders but also strengthening its cultural roots, adding that such celebrations serve as a reminder that every citizen has a crucial role to play in nation-building.
Cultural Performances Steal the Evening
The evening was further enriched by patriotic songs and cultural performances presented by local artists, which captivated the audience and filled the venue with resounding chants of “Bharat Mata Ki Jai” and “Vande Mataram.”
The programme concluded with a formal vote of thanks by Shri Sanjay, who extended heartfelt gratitude to all the dignitaries, performing artists, media personnel, and prominent citizens present at the event.
